PORTFOLIOTime-Lapse Visualization - Truescape supports Bureau of Ocean Energy Management (BOEM) Viewshed Analysis and Visualization Simulation for the New York Outer Continental Shelf (OCS)

BOEM commissioned a visibility study that was conducted for a hypothetical wind energy project located on the OCS offshore New York. The study aimed to demonstrate potential visibility of the hypothetical project by:

1. Completing a meteorological conditions assessment to document average and maximum visibility and common weather conditions in the vicinity of the hypothetical project.
2. Developing viewshed models detailing potential visibility of the hypothetical project from the surrounding landscape.
3. Preparing accurate and realistic visual simulations of a hypothetical project off Long Island, New York from photographs and video taken at various locations identified by stakeholders to be important.

Truescape contributed to 3) above. This time-lapse visualization clearly depicts how the viewer would experience this proposed wind farm layout under the environmental conditions that our photographer encountered at the time of photography.
