Adhering to Shell’s guiding principles of minimizing environmental impacts and finding better ways to operate and communicate was a key driver in commissioning this work.
In close collaboration with Shell’s subject matter experts the marine environment is explained through an engaging video that allows the viewer to understand the depths, habitats and specie types that are likely to be encountered as the viewer moves further from the shoreline.
The relationship between the operating zone of the drill ship and the marine environment is clearly defined in the animation thereby correcting misconceptions that had been circulating.
