Project Quattro proposes to extend the current Martha open pit, develop a new tailings storage facility, construct a rock stack next to the existing tailings storage areas, and mine a second smaller pit on the edge of the township near the process plant. If consented, Project Quattro has the potential to produce nearly 750,000 ounces of gold over a 14 year period.
This video was created in part to allow OceanaGold to work extensively alongside their community to ensure that their feedback informs the project development, and also to work collaboratively with community groups to understand and explore the possible options available as the Martha pit is transformed into a recreational lake.
