As the world transitions to cleaner energy sources Florida Power and Light is advancing solar power in Florida at a remarkable rate with their 30 by 30 initiative. Working closely with landowners, communities, agencies, and County officials, FPL recognized the requirement to explain and inform stakeholders about their proposed projects as a key consideration in reaching their 30 by 30 target.
This example is typical of the work that Truescape produces for FPL where the viewer can clearly understand the location of the proposed project, the key components of the project, and the layout of the proposed panels. Drop-in animations provide evidence of the screening that the existing vegetation will provide and any future mitigation planting that may be under consideration.
Engaging with all interested parties using fact-based visualizations that can be defended in Court, if required, provides FPL with an effective resource to solicit informed feedback from all interested parties early in the permitting process. Honest and open stakeholder engagement is a recognized goal of FPL reaching and surpassing their stated 30 by 30 goal.
