One of the most challenging tasks that a Mine Closure Manager has is to articulate a complex closure sequence that can take years to complete. In this case, Rio Tinto wanted a tool that would assist in understanding if the final roading infrastructure and landform would affect a significant heritage site.
Feedback from the client was that the video was a great tool to get a large and diverse audience quickly up to speed with the scope, approach, and schedule of the project. It was a very useful tool for communicating with steering committees, gate review teams and executives, aiding in a relatively smooth approval process to proceed with execution.
