The Ridge View Solar Energy Center (Project) is a proposed 350 MW solar photovoltaic facility located in the Towns of Hartland and Newfane, Niagara County, New York. The Project will safely generate enough clean, renewable electricity to power 75,000 New York households.
New York is leading the nation, with a goal of using 70% renewables by 2030. The project will interconnect to the New York power grid via a new Point of Interconnection (POI) in the Town of Hartland, tapping into the 345 kilovolt (“kV”) Kintigh to Rochester circuit bisecting the Project. The Facility will be sited on approximately 2,000 acres of leased private and mostly cleared land and will consist of about one million solar panels.
